Tammy DeLaGarza, FNP-C, provides expert care for children and young adults at THINK Neurology for Kids in Sugar Land, Texas. Tammy has been practicing as a certified family nurse practitioner since 2012, specializing in pediatric neurology and epilepsy.
Tammy studied for her Bachelor of Science in nursing at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth), graduating in 2006. She completed her Master of Nursing Education at the University of Phoenix in 2008, followed by a Master of Healthcare Administration. In 2010, she returned to UTHealth to undertake her post-Master of Science in nursing with a family nurse practitioner focus.
Tammy gained considerable experience in her role as a nurse at the pediatric epilepsy monitoring unit at the Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital in The Woodlands, Texas. She has also worked as a nurse and a nurse practitioner for the pediatric neurology department at UTHealth. She is now delivering exceptional care to children at THINK Neurology for Kids.
Tammy is passionate about the value of education and aims to use her knowledge and experience to help her patients and colleagues. She lives in Houston, where she enjoys spending time with her three daughters and their two Dachshunds, who keep her well occupied.
